Galaxy Z Flip 3
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is similar to the Galaxy Z Flip in that it folds vertically to transform from a standard-sized phone to something that can fit into even the smallest of pockets, but it has a few aesthetic enhancements. First and foremost, the phone is water resistant, with an IPX8 rating, which is a remarkable feat given that Samsung has just recently begun producing foldable phones. For further durability, Samsung has used Armor Aluminum to reinforce the frame and hinge, while Gorilla Glass Victus protects the rest.
Of course, the pleasant folding mechanism is what differentiates the Galaxy Z Flip range, and you won’t be able to stop yourself from opening and shutting the phone for no apparent reason over the first few days. Unfolding the phone with a single hand is still difficult due to the phone’s ability to unfold and stay open at numerous angles, but this does not apply to folding it shut, which is rather simple after some practise.
The smartphone comes in two colours: Phantom Black and Cream.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 sports a 6.7-inch vertically foldable primary screen on the inside.
The main Dynamic AMOLED display is covered by Gorilla Glass Victus and features a resolution of 2,640 x 1,080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The smartphone has a tiny 1.9-inch display with a resolution of 260 x 512 pixels on the surface. The smartphone has a fingerprint sensor on the side and is water and dust resistant to IPX8 standards.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor with a 2.84GHz clock speed. This processor comes with 8GB of RAM and a storage capacity of up to 256GB. It runs on OneUI 3.0, which would be based on Android 11. The smartphone runs admirably, and we have had no problems using it on a daily basis.
The foldable smartphone features stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos surround sound, which incorporates Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus. Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth v5.1, USB Type-C, NFC, GPS, Galileo, Glonass, BeiDou, and 5G technologies are all available on the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 boasts a dual back camera configuration with a 12MP wide-angle camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
On the front, there’s a 10MP camera for taking selfies. Corning Gorilla Glass protects the rear camera array, which allows up to 10x digital zoom, HDR10+ recording, and auto-focus tracking.
The main camera performs admirably in a variety of lighting settings. Surprisingly, we preferred the selfie camera.
The phone comes with a 3,300mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging, but you’ll need to bring the adapter with you if you want to use it all day.
