Realme 8i and Realme 8s 5G, the latest models in the Realme 8 series, were unveiled in India on Thursday, September 9. In addition to the hole-punch display, both Realme phones have triple back cameras. The Realme 8i comes with a 120Hz display, whereas the Realme 8s 5G features a 90Hz screen, which makes them different. The Realme 8i comes with a 50-megapixel camera on the back.
Specifications of the Realme 8i
A 6.6-inch full-HD (1,080×2,412) display with a 90.80 percent screen-to-body ratio
100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and Dragontrail Pro protection are among the features of the dual-SIM (Nano) Realme 8i. The display’s brightness ranges from 600 to 1 nit, with 1 nit being the lowest. As an added bonus, it offers a 6-level dynamic refresh rate that can be selected from: 30hz to 120hz. There’s also a 180Hz touch sampling rate on the Realme 8i’s display.
A 50-megapixel Samsung S5KJN1 sensor with a five-piece f/1.8 lens, a 2-megapixel monochrome portrait sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens are included in the Realme 8i‘s triple-camera configuration on the back. Front-facing 16-megapixel selfie camera with AI beautifying, HDR mode, portrait mode and “Panoselfie” functionality.
A microSD card (up to 256GB) can be added to the Realme 8i‘s internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB. 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, and a Micro-USB port are all available as connectivity choices for the Samsung Galaxy S8. the 5,000mAh battery on the Realme 8i enables 18W rapid charging from Realme, which is a first for the company.
A 6.5-inch full-HD (1,080×2,400 pixels) display, a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate are among the characteristics of the Realme 8s 5G, a dual-SIM (Nano) device that runs Android 11 with Realme UI 2.0 on top. The display has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5 percent and a maximum brightness of 600 nits. On the Realme 8S 5G, there is a MediaTek Dimensity 810 octa-core SoC, which was released last month. A maximum of 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM can be paired with the chip. The Realme 8s 5G, like the Realme 8i, supports 5GB of virtual RAM.
A microSD card (up to 1TB) can be added to the Realme 8s 5G‘s standard storage of 128GB UFS 2.1. In terms of connectivity possibilities, there’s 5G and 4G VoLTE as well as Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth v5.1. The one sensor is a proximity sensor. There are also accelerometers and ambient light sensors on board. In addition, there is a fingerprint sensor on the side.
There are three back cameras on the Realme 8s 5G, one of which is a 64-megapixel sensor with an f/1.8 lens. An f/2.4 monochrome portrait sensor and an f/2.4 macro sensor are also included.
Fast charging is supported by the Realme 8s 5G thanks to its 33W Dart Charge battery (a 11V/ 3A charger is included in the package). 160x74x8mm and 191 grammes are the dimensions of the phone.
Price for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage edition of the Realme 8i in India is Rs. 13,999. Priced at Rs. 15,999, the phone is also available in a 6GB RAM + 128GB storage combination with 6GB RAM. The Realme 8s 5G, on the other hand, is priced at Rs. 17,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, and Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. As of September 14, the Realme 8i will be available in Space Black and Space Purple, while the Realme 8s 5G will be available in Universe Blue and Universe Purple from September 13. On Flipkart, Realme.com, and other major offline retailers in the country, both phones will be available for purchase.
